A major information dissemination event was held in Brussels on Wednesday 30 April to allow all key stakeholders to find out more about the Innovative Medicines Initiative. The one-day event provided potential stakeholders with full details of the scientific priorities of the IMI. Participants received initial guidance on the application procedures for consortia considering making applications for funding under the first IMI Call for proposals. The meeting also provided an initial networking opportunity for those in the public sector, the European pharmaceutical industry, the SME biopharmaceutical community and interested patient group representatives with an interest in supporting the IMI’s research programme.
