Competitiveness Council 23-11-2007

The Council reached a "general approach" (substantial elements of the legal acts) on four proposals aimed at establishing joint technology initiatives (JTIs). The agreement paves the way for adopting the final decisions as soon as possible after receiving the European Parliament's opinion during its plenary session of December 10-13, in order to enable a swift start of IMI in early 2008.
