IMI Information Day

A major information dissemination event was held in Brussels on Wednesday 30 April to allow all key stakeholders find out more about the Innovative Medicines Initiative. The one-day event provided potential stakeholders with full details of the scientific priorities of the IMI. Participants got initial guidance on the application procedures for consortia considering making applications for funding under the first IMI Call for proposals. The meeting provided an initial networking opportunity for those in the public sector, the European pharmaceutical industry, the SME biopharmaceutical community and interested patient group representatives with an interest in supporting the IMI’s research programme.

First Governing Board meeting

The IMI Governing Board, the decision-making body of the IMI Joint Undertaking (IMI JU), met on March 3 to kick-off the work of the Innovative Medicines Initiative in its attempt to overcome bottlenecks in European pharmaceutical R&D and support biomedical research for the benefit of patients.

Genedata Joins EC and Industry Consortium Tasked with Improving Medicines

Genedata announces its partnership with Innovative Medicines for Europe (InnoMed), a joint Industry and European Commission collaboration to promote discovery and improve drug safety. The consortium of 14 pharmaceutical companies and 3 academic institutions will work with the Swiss-based bioinformatics company to understand toxic reactions to medicines.
