About Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) - Governance

The IMI Joint Undertaking has a legal mandate to award research grants to European Public-Private Collaborations. IMI will manage the involvement of stakeholders as well as the operations required to support the implementation of the Strategic Research Agenda, the IMI Roadmap. IMI uses a flat and efficient organisational structure including all relevant stakeholders.

The governance structure of IMI consists of three bodies, the IMI Governing Board, the IMI Executive Director with its office and the IMI Scientific Committee, as well as the IMI Member States Group and the IMI Stakeholder Forum.
